PUBLIC NOTICE
The Polk County Environmental Services Committee will hold consecutive public hearings on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, starting at 9:30 a.m. in the County Boardroom at the Government Center in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, to consider the following district change requests, subdivision variance, and other agenda items:
- Don and Diane Sterna request a zoning district change from Residential (R-1) to Recreational Business and Commercial (B-2) for parcel: 006-01180-0000 1.41 acres, located in Sec. 1/T34N/R17W, Town of Balsam Lake.
- North Rock Holdings LLC request a zoning district change from Agricultural 10 (A-1) to Residential Agricultural 5 (RA-5) for parcel: 002-00617-1000 15.96 acres, located in Sec. 24/T32N/R17W, Town of Alden.
- Lori Purdy and Lisa Needels request a variance pursuant to Sec. 32-68(d)(2) of the Polk County Code of Ordinances to create two buildable lots that do not meet the 1-acre minimum size requirement for parcel: 002-02025-0000 located at 1881 D 60th Avenue County Rd. K in Sec. 1/T32N/R18W, Town of Alden.
