Teresa L. Chapman, age 80, of Crystal, Minnesota, passed away on Feb. 22, 2025. Preceded in death by her loving parents, Bernard and Bertha Ottenstroer; and her sister, Joann VanHeel.
Teresa loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips included a trip to Hawaii, yearly family trips, and many trips to Florida. In addition to traveling around the USA, Teresa also took trips to Europe, Peru, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Teresa belonged to multiple social groups including Red Hats, Fab 5, and card clubs. One of the social groups Teresa enjoyed remained friends and regularly met for over 60 years. Helping children was one of Teresa’s passions. Teresa enjoyed teaching her students in the Creative Play preschool program for many years. Teresa treasured time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma.
Remembered in our hearts by her loving husband of 58 years, Fred; daughters, Susan (Steve) Smith and Bonnie (Nick) Lambertz; brother, Dennis (Pat); grandchildren, Elena and Fred Lambertz; and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal, Minnesota. Doors open at 10 a.m. Luncheon to follow the service. All are encouraged to wear bright colors to celebrate Teresa’s love of life and vibrant colors.
