FREDERIC – Frederic Arts issued a call to the local community to gather art, craft, design and vintage curated collections to be displayed on Friday, March 24 through Saturday, March 25, at the Frederic Art Center. The idea was thought up by one of the founding board members, Mark Buley, who had seen similar displays and desired to bring one to the Frederic area to enjoy. Nothing was for sale, but the idea was to display items in an artistic way that would encourage reminiscing and asking questions, in the style of a vintage shop. Traci Paetzel brought many tools for working fabric, and others also lent a variety of irons, sewing machines, rag dolls, tools for woodworking, oilcans and other various curiosities that were present as well. Paetzel also owns a shop called Something Quilty, located at the Outpost Mall just north of Siren.
