OSCEOLA – The 10th annual Valley Brew Fest took place on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 4. The event took place at the Osceola Community Fairgrounds and attendees were able to try over 70 craft beers from various breweries using the commemorative tasting glass given to each ticketholder. More than 20 regional breweries were in attendance from Wisconsin and Minnesota including Oliphant Brewing, Round Man Brewing Co., Trap Rock Brewing Company and Lupulin Brewing. Three food trucks, Hog Wild, Taqueria Los Paisanos and the Lions Club, were on-site to feed the crowd and the Trent Romens Band provided live music. Designated driver tickets were also available and came with free nonalcoholic drinks.

Valley Brew Fest is presented by the Lions Club and helps raise money for trails in the Osceola area. The Osceola Trails and Parks organization, which is a non-profit group of volunteers that was formed in 2013, gets 100% of its financial funding from this event. The group builds and maintains walking, hiking and biking trails to help keep them safe for all community members and visitors. Their mission is “to have a trail within 10 minutes of every front door.” The group relies on volunteers and has a variety of options for community members to get involved in their efforts, “from a one-time trail building day, to cutting buckthorn, to trail events and planning.” To donate or get involved, text “Volunteer” to 612-819-1640.
