Theodore “Ted” S. Smith, age 81, of Dresser, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at his home in Dresser.
Born on March 1, 1945, to Elmer and Blanche Smith, Ted was raised on a small dairy farm outside of Roberts, Wisconsin, along with his older brother Richard Smith. After moving back to Wisconsin, Ted and Loretta had two children, Christopher and Rebecca. In Wisconsin, Ted continued to pastor and plant churches for many years, always trying to live out his faith in Christ each and every day. Ted also worked at Nor-Lake in Hudson, Wisconsin, and later he worked at St. Croix Regional Medical Center where he retired after over 20 years of service. He was very patriotic, enjoyed singing, traveling with The Evangels gospel music group, and attending local sporting events, especially those of his grandchildren.
He especially loved his family; children, Christopher and Rebecca; grandchildren, Bella Smith, Joshua Smith (wife Cassidy Smith); and great-granddaughter, Violet.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Smith; parents, Elmer and Blanche Smith; and brother, Richard Smith; as well as many dear friends and family. Ted will be remembered by all who knew him for his strong faith, dedication to family, kindness, and endless humor.
