FREDERIC – The Tavern League of Burnett County hosted its 30th annual golf tournament on Sunday, Aug. 24, at Frederic Golf Course, drawing a record of 34 four-person teams and six volunteers for a day of golf and philanthropy. The event, open to the public, supported the Safe Ride program, local charities and other community initiatives.
The tournament featured hole sponsorships at $100 each, with all proceeds benefiting various Burnett County organizations. The Tavern League highlighted its recent donations to local groups, and a $50 foundation raffle was also held, adding to the fundraising efforts. Players enjoyed a well-maintained course while fostering camaraderie and contributing to meaningful causes.
