ST. CROIX FALLS - Youngsters of the St. Croix Valley were treated to an early St. Valentine’s event sponsored by the St. Croix Falls Public Library on Monday, Feb. 13. Laura Turpin, youth services director of the library, oversaw the event. Turpin explained, “Originally the local school was to have the day off so we were expecting a slightly older age group, but with the changing of that to make it a snow day makeup day, I retooled the program to accommodate a smaller age bracket and invited our story time group to participate. I love to run these programs for the kids.”
With staplers, construction paper, yarn and pipe cleaners, the little artists created some colorful yarn flowers and construction paper masterpieces to bring home to their loved ones.
