Robert “Bob” Allen Cairns, 85, a resident of Frederic, Wisconsin, passed away on Aug. 13, 2024, with his loved ones by his side. Bob was born on Aug. 10, 1939, in Spooner, Wisconsin, to parents Floyd and Nellie (Thompson) Cairns. He attended Siren High School.
Bob married Melba Denotter on June 9, 2016, at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
Bob worked at North States for 23 years and then at the sawmill in Siren until 2017.
In Bob’s free time he enjoyed fishing, traveling, antique car shows, but most of all he loved spending his time with his family. He also loved his food. Bob was an avid Packers fan and like to watch wrestling.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Darlene Butler; brothers, Bill Cairns and Jack Knutson; two infant siblings; and grandson, Michael Williamson.
Bob will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Melba; children, Christy Cairns, Michele (Darryl Suskin) Denotter and Andrea (Jesse) Lieder; grandchildren, Devan Pavlicek, Justice (Rylie) Lieder, Destiny Lieder, Miley Lieder, Anna Lieder and Jeffrey Lieder; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Tisdale and Jean Marie Johnson; several nieces and nephews; along with many friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Lakeview Methodist Church in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, with Pastor Ferdinand Serra. Burial will follow at the Siren Lakeview Cemetery in Siren, Wisconsin, with pallbearers Dave Miller, Mark Knoop, Tom Ennis, Jesse Lieder, Darryl Suskin and Derk Benzer.
