AMERY – Wisconsin currently has eight congressional districts, with six Republicans and two Democrats representing the different districts. The 7th District is the largest by land size and represents the majority of northern Wisconsin. This district seat has been held by Republican Tom Tiffany since 2020. According to the congressman’s official government website: “Rep. Tiffany has deep roots in the 7th District. He grew up on a dairy farm near Elmwood, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls with a degree in agricultural economics. Prior to representing the 7th District, Congressman Tiffany served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and State Senate for the 12th District.”
A member of Tiffany’s staff will be at VFW Post, 7929 located at 730 N. Wisconsin Ave., in Amery on Friday, March 24, from 4-6 p.m. The staff member will help and assist residents who might have questions or concerns with a federal agency. No appointment is necessary, and the staff member will be able to assist with federal matters concerning Veterans Affairs, Social Security, Medicare, passports and anyone having trouble with the Internal Revenue Service, specifically, those who have had trouble with the Internal Revenue Service during tax season or who have not yet received their refund from last year.
