Raymond Jerome Rachner, 88, was born June 28, 1935, in Webster, Wisconsin. He passed away on June 29, 2023, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Doris Rachner; daughter, Randi Coners; and infant granddaughter, Rachelle Rachner-Coners.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rachner; son, Richard Rachner; daughters, Robbie Nyberg and Roxanne (Steven) Rolph; grandchildren, Ben and Sam Nyberg and Katie (Treven) Anderson, James and Jeremy Coners, Brian (Jamie) Rolph and Eric Rolph, Olivia Rachner and Alex Rachner; great-grandchildren, Ben Nyberg Jr., Raegan, Griffin and Evelyn Anderson, and Louie Cavanaugh-Coners; sisters, Janet (Lowell) Ingalls, Diane (Nels) Koerper and Marna (Wyman) Johnson; and brother, Darrel (Jo-Ann) Rachner. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and by Crystal (Jesse) Zacharias, Colton, Nevaeha and Marcus Zacharias.
Raymond and Sharon were high school sweethearts. Raymond graduated from Webster High School. Following graduation, Ray enlisted in the U.S. Army serving from 1954-1957. Raymond and Sharon were married while Raymond was in the military. Raymond worked at 3M Company from 1961-1994. He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, now United Methodist, in Webster. He is a current member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Roseville, Minnesota.
A private memorial service will be held with interment at Union Cemetery in Maplewood, Minnesota.
