Patricia Schaaf passed away on April 27, 2026, at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota. Patti was born to George and Florence Schaaf on July 28, 1944, in a log cabin on Lake 26 built by her father and grandfather. Her grandmother Annie Schaaf and Ula delivered her. She grew up on the lake along with her five brothers and three sisters. She loved the lake, swimming, fishing, and hunting with the crew in the fall.
Patti always cooked big meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a great cook and always made sure that whoever didn’t have a holiday meal was always welcomed at her table. She was a hard worker and always had a job even in hard times. She worked many jobs in the area: Fishbowl Bar, The Cabaret, and Lamplighter Inn. She retired after several years as a cook at Luther Park Bible Camp on Lake 26.
She is survived by her son, Glenn (Renee); brothers, Mike (Ella), Glen (Tessy), Gary (Vicki), and Marty (Jill); sister, Shelby (Gary) Snorek; grandchildren, Olivia (Alex), Clara, Henry, and Samuel; and great-grandchildren, Liam and Brooks. Patti loved and was loved by all her nieces and nephews and all of their children.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, George and Florence; sisters, Ellen and Lynda; brother, Ernie; and the love of her life, Richard King.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, 1–4 p.m., at Luther Park Bible Camp located at 30376 Lakes Drive, Danbury, Wisconsin 54830.
