NORTHWEST WISCONSIN - The National Weather Service has issued another Winter Storm Warning for Burnett and Polk Counties. The warnings for Monday, Feb. 27, go from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for Polk County, and from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Burnett County. While the area saw several waves of snow last week, ice is predicted to be more of a factor on Monday. Much of our area could see between two-tenths and three-tenths of an inch of ice, plus a couple of inches of snow. Things are expected to be especially bad for the Monday morning commute, however weather issues could extend into the afternoon and evening. As of 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, no school delays or cancellations for our area have been reported.
