Nancie Naughton (Ebert), age 78, passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2026. Born and raised on the east side of St. Paul, Minnesota, she spent the last 22 years of her life in Luck, Wisconsin.

Nancie was a force! She was known for her grit, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She shared over four decades with her beloved life partner, John Welch, building a beautiful life together in their dream home, where they remained side by side through her final days.

After 30 years with St. Paul Companies, Nancie retired and went on to open an antique shop in Webster, Wisconsin, with John, embracing her entrepreneurial spirit.

She is survived by her partner, John Welch; daughter, Jennifer; daughter-of-the-heart, Mykayla Rose; six grandchildren, Lysandra, Isaiah, Mariah, Aleonna, Jynessa, and Joseph; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Ebert (Diana), Jill Christensen, Richard Ebert (Kelly), Kim Colella (Niko), and Kari Doroff (Greg); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jane Ebert (Oman) and Harold Ebert; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Roger Mroszak; and brother, Joel Ebert.

In her final years, Nancie was lovingly cared for by her granddaughter Jynessa. We are so grateful for her tenderness and dedication. We would also like to thank Nicole of Adoray Hospice, her brother Richard, and the Baillargeon family who were always ready at a moment’s notice.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
