Mike Lynch visits Frederic Elementary - Students go ‘Cosmic Bowling’

Posted

FREDERIC – The all-school thematic unit called “The Sky's the Limit” is all wrapped up at Frederic Elementary. There were two special finale events. The first was a presentation on space by retired WCCO meteorologist Mike Lynch. He also presented elementary Principal Megan Challoner with an autographed poster and book about stars.

The second event was Cosmic Bowling at the 300 Club. Each grade was treated to an hour on the alley!

This is the third time Frederic Elementary has visited space in a thematic unit, and the students had an “out of this world” good time!

Throughout the unit, students used virtual reality goggles to view the moon, planets, space shuttles and more! It was a unit favorite!
