Lucille Allen, 87, of Milltown, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home on Oct. 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Lucille was born on Nov. 10, 1938, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. Lucille was the daughter of George and Gertrude (Moore) Brown.
Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She shared many wonderful years with her beloved husband, Clyde L. Allen, who preceded her in death.
Family was the heart and soul of Lucille’s life. She was a devoted mother to Jeff Allen (Nicole), Julie Tromberg Christian (Doyle), and Brenda Allen. Lucille treasured time spent with her family and friends creating lasting memories with those she loved. Whether you were stopping by for a visit or just that quick cup of coffee … (that lasted 2 hours) Lucy welcomed each with open arms, but more importantly with an open heart. Blessed to have a momma who found the good in everyone.
Lucille was raised on the family farm, in Shell Lake and graduated from Shell Lake High School. After marriage she lived in a number of states, until 1967 when the young family moved back to Wisconsin. Lucy enjoyed taking trips to visit family in Tennessee, Illinois, Arkansas, Indiana, to mention a few. A trip to Norway and an Alaskan cruise with her sister and nieces were so cherished. Frequent trips to her sisters to visit nieces, nephews and extended family kept Lucy on the go. Her devoted daughter Brenda was her best chauffeur!
Treasured trips to Mackinac Island with Jeff, Nicole, Brenda and great-grandchildren, an around Lake Superior motorcycle trip with daughter Julie and her family, to family gatherings watching children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoying the magic of Christmas, hunting for Easter eggs, the surprise of a birthday gift or simply sharing a meal together, brought her the greatest joys.
Lucy had many career opportunities throughout her life. She enjoyed being a waitress, working in the floral shop, even factory work to mention a few, but cherished her 25 years at Stop-a-Sec, for all the people she met and the friendships she made.
Lucille is survived by her children, Jeff Allen (Nicole), Julie Tromberg Christian (Doyle), and Brenda Allen; grandchildren, Renee Allen, Mitchell Tromberg (Amy), Justin Allen (Billie Jo), Cody Tromberg (Melyssa), and Michelle Jorgensen; great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Isabel, Emmett, Ember; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde L Allen; her parents, George and Gertrude (Moore) Brown; brothers, Russell and Larry Brown; sister, Betty I. Sislo (Brown); and son-in-law, Bruce C. Tromberg.
Lucille will be remembered for her love of family, her generosity, kindness and the memories she shared with those around her. Lucy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her love will remain in our hearts forever, as we continue sharing our memories and stories, that love, will continue in the generation she leaves behind.
Simply the best mom
