Lonny Dale Pearson of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away on Jan. 3, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on July 20, 1956, in Frederic, Wisconsin, Lonny spent his life rooted in the communities of Northwest Wisconsin, where he built not only roads and structures, but also a legacy of dedication and hard work.

Lonny devoted his entire career to the construction industry. He spent 14 years with Shafer Construction before continuing his service to the community with 16 years at the Burnett County Highway Department. His work left a lasting mark on the region he called home, and his commitment to his craft was evident in every project he undertook.

He is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife, Terry Pearson; daughters, Melissa, Jessica (Zeb), and Savanna (Gregg); and grandchildren, Nathan, Kal, Anna, Ella, Amelia, Zackary, and Lionel. Lonny’s family was a source of great pride and joy throughout his life. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jim (Verlene) and Robert (Debbie) Pearson.

Lonny was preceded in death by his parents, Arvid and Inez Pearson; and his grandson, Nicholas.

May Lonny’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and strength to those who carry forward his legacy.

A funeral service was held at Bethany Lutheran Church in Grantsburg. Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, followed by a service and luncheon.
