Janet “Jan” Elmquist, age 87, of Cushing, Wisconsin, passed away on May 1, 2026. Born Feb. 11, 1939, she was the youngest of three sisters and grew up in a close rural community. She met her husband, John Elmquist, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and they married at 20. Together they raised three sons—Jeff, Jim (Erica), and Tim—in the Twin Cities.
Jan is survived by her sons; sister, Margie (Robert); grandchildren, Maddie, Ashtyn, and Aubree; and great‑grandchildren Brooklyn, Chloe, Piper, Sawyer, and Finn. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Lou; brother‑in‑law, Jerry; and granddaughter, Jackie. Jan will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
