James Thomas Orr, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend to many passed away on February 22, 2024 in Anaheim, California. He was born on January 16, 1940, in Frederic, Wisconsin to the late Hugh Orr and Vadah Johnson.

James is survived by his loving wife, Ivette Orr; sons, Bill H. Orr (wife Wendy), James H. Orr (wife, Rebecca; children, Abigail, Daniel, Emily); Russell T. Orr (wife, Jackie; children, Griffin, Steven, Jackson); John H. Orr (wife, Laura), Christian J. Orr (wife, Jamie); ex-wives, Mary Buendorf and Jackie Larson; siblings, Millicent Johnson and the late Janet Hanson, and her daughters, Kristen and Cheryl.

He attended the one room Orr School until eighth grade, before graduating from Grantsburg High School in 1958. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue higher education at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, where he graduated in 1962-63.

In service of his country and community spirit led him to join the Army National Guard from 1963-1969, where he was deployed during the Detroit Riots in 1967.

Throughout his life's journey across various states including California Wisconsin, Iowa and Michigan, James made an indelible mark as an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler, gardener and ATV rider. He worked tirelessly for over six decades within the agriculture industry with USDA, while also being a dedicated farmer.

His love for sports knew no bounds as he passionately cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Anaheim Angels, L.A Clippers, Mighty Ducks and Wisconsin Badgers.

James will be remembered not only for his work ethic, but also for his infectious sense of humor, his passion for travel adventures, hunting trips, camping expeditions and golf rounds that brought joy into many lives around him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 3 at the Trade River Evangelical Free Church, where friends and family members can pay their respects to this remarkable man who touched so many lives. Light refreshments will be served.

May we find solace knowing that James has left behind a legacy that will forever live on through those whose hearts were touched by his kindness, warmth and laughter.
