Jaime Fowler-Murdock passed away at her home in Moneta, Virginia, on April 10, 2026. Jaime was born Nov. 29, 1976 in Alton, Illinois. Jaime graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1995, then attended both the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the University of Oklahoma.

Jaime’s ability to connect with others and detail-oriented personality attracted her to hospitality and leadership work. Jaime enjoyed being on the water. She loved kayaking or canoeing down a river as well as speeding over the water in a motor boat. Jaime cooked delicious food for the people she loved, was a voracious reader, loved cats, and loved to learn. Jaime had wanderlust; she road tripped, and on multiple occasions moved to a completely new place to start again. Wherever Jaime lived, she quickly created a tight knit community of close friends. Although Jaime had many hobbies and passions, her greatest passion and legacy was her daughter Jillian. Jaime’s first priority was loving Jillian. She worked to raise a confident young woman who spoke her mind and who valued learning and education.

Jaime is survived by her daughter, Jillian Murdock-Meyer; her dear friend, Rudy Jasper of Moneta, Virginia; mother, Beth Hughes of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin; father, Malcolm Fowler and stepmother, Patricia Fowler of Frisco, Texas; sister, Anne Fowler McIntyre of Madison, Wisconsin; sister, Teresa Fowler Groene of St. Louis, Missouri; and sister, Emily Fowler Hughey of Dallas, Texas. Jaime was preceded in death by her husbands, Eric Murdock and William E. Mainus; stepfather, William Hughes; and her grandparents, Richard and Esther Wright, and Malcolm and Rhea Fowler. Jaime requested a private family service.
