Hartvig Arild Mortensen, 94, of Luck, Wisconsin, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at Lawson Manor Assisted Living in Luck. Hartvig was born to Niels and Helga Mortensen on March 1, 1929, in Luck.
Hartvig lived in and around Luck most of his life and spent his adult years as a successful dairy farmer and carpenter. He was active in the West Denmark church and community throughout his life.
Hartvig is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna; sons, Alan (Susan) and Duane (Joan) Mortensen; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Jensen; brothers, Arlen and Erling Mortensen; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. With those who knew him, we are saddened by his passing but comforted by the fact that he lived a long and happy life.
Hartvig and Donna cherished life on the farm raising a family. They enjoyed a long retirement together, traveling to see many places and visiting family, always an important part of their life. Hartvig enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and in his woodshop producing a lot of fine furniture.
