Hans Michael Giller was born on March 27, 1977, to Jack and Judy Giller in Frederic, Wisconsin.
He graduated from Luck High School in 1995. He spent one year at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He also attended Dakota County Technical Institute in Rosemount, Minnesota. Hans spent two years in Alaska working hazmat on the oil spills, then came back to Luck and joined his brother and dad in the logging business. He started hazard tree removal and turned it into a successful tree service business.
On June 17, 2018, he married his best friend, Rachel Erickson.
One of his greatest joys was mentoring and loving his nieces and nephews. He was the best uncle ever to Reilly, Arianna, Elijah, Ben, Wils and Zac. He took great joy in helping them in so many ways.
Hans is survived by his wife, Rachel; his mother, Judy; his brother, Gary and his wife, Jen; his nieces, Reilly and Arianna; nephews, Elijah, Benjamin, William and Zac; uncles, Jim and his wife Carol, Mike and his wife Jean; aunts, Deb and her husband Donnie, Cindy and her husband Paul, Joan; and many cousins and friends.
He was a good friend to many. He was a fair and loyal man.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Jack; his sister, Tracy; and his dear sister-in-law, Terrie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 4-7 p.m. at the Rowe Funeral Home in Luck, Wisconsin. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, at Luck Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior, with Pastor Mary Ann Bowman officiating.
