George Charles Williamson Jr., 87, died March 5, 2024, at Divine nursing home in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. He was born June 27, 1936, in Sterling Township in Polk County, Wisconsin, to George and Alice Williamson.

George graduated from Grantsburg High School and was drafted into the Army in 1959. Shortly after being drafted he married Yvonne Larsen. They eventually settled in the Eureka/Cushing area.

George enjoyed spending time with his family at his cabin in the Barrens. He enjoyed hunting, cutting wood and spending time in the woods. He loved sports of any kind. He bowled, shot trap, played horseshoes, played baseball and football. He loved his Minnesota Twins, Green Bay Packers and his beloved St. Croix Falls Saints. He rarely missed a sporting event in over 40 years. He even took his last breath wearing a SCF Saints T-shirt.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant daughter, Lisa; four sisters; and one brother.

He is survived by brother, Maynard (Carleen); sister Carol Olson (Gary); son, Darien (Shelli); daughters, Lori Warhol (Phil) and Wendy Williamson (Wayne); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Last, but not least, George was survived by his wonderful and loving companion and partner for almost 22 years, Mary Jo Ewing.

A private family burial will be planned at a later date.
