Donna Mae Lindgren

Donna Mae Lindgren, age 80, of Shafer, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, on Sept. 7, 1943 to parents, Anfred and Alice Swenson.

Donna was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota and participated in several activities such as quilting and choir. She coordinated the Red Cross Bloodmobile for many years.

Traveling, family vacations and camping were some of the ways Donna loved to spend her spare time. Yearly Lindgren family camp was the highlight of summer. Texas was where she loved to spend her winters.

Donna was a staple in the lunch room at Taylors Falls High School and later at Chisago Lakes Middle School. Donna loved a reason to be with family and friends and all were welcome.

Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Hjalmer Peter Lindgren; children, Dave (Kristy) Lindgren, Gayle (Joel) Langer, Timothy (Jennifer) Lindgren, James (Jodi) Lindgren and Kristina Simonsson Ronquist; grandchildren, Joshua (Caroline), Jacob (Cassie), Jeremy, Adam (Kate), Makayla, Dalton, Spencer, Isabella, Payge, Peyton, Benjamin, Luke, Tyler (Chantell), Abigail, Elin and Simon; great-grandchildren, Elliot and Sunny; siblings, Nita (Raymond) Lindgren, Sue (Nathan) Jensen and Julie (John) Castellano; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Swenson; father, Anfred Swenson; and step-mother, Beth Swenson.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota, with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
