Donald R. Clausen, 85, died on Jan. 6, 2024, at Comforts of Home in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.
Don was born on March 16, 1938, to William and Gladys Clausen in Cushing, Wisconsin.
Don graduated from Osceola High School in 1956. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959.
Don was united in marriage to Marilyn Carpenter on Aug. 27, 1960, in Frederic, Wisconsin. They had two sons, Jeffrey and Timothy.
Don spent many years managing supper clubs in St. Paul, Minnesota, and St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. In later years he worked for St. Croix Valley Hardwoods in Luck, Wisconsin, until he retired in 2003.
Don is survived by his wife, Marilyn Clausen; two sons, Jeffrey Clausen and his wife Linda, and Timothy Clausen and his wife Pam; grandchildren, Amanda Clausen and Travis Clausen and his friend Danielle; one great-grandson, Brandon Tyler; two great-granddaughters, Peyton and Bailee Clausen; sister, Janice Kruse of Princeton, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clifford, Edward, Leonard and Richard; and sisters, Virginia, Bernice and Dorothy.
Burial will be held at a later date at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rowe Funeral Home in Frederic and the Northwest Wisconsin Cremation Center in Milltown.
