Darwin “Dar” Draisey was born in Mitchell, South Dakota, on May 23, 1934, to Carl and Annetta (Wilson) Draisey. He passed Feb. 2, 2024, in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.
Dar had many jobs in the electrical field. He was head electrician at Grain Belt Brewery, IBEW President, Director of the Electrical Apprenticeship Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the NECA Chapter Manager in Duluth, Minnesota. He ended his career as the Midwest NECA Chapter Manager. He was also a fireman for the city of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, a Shriner, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by first wife, June; parents; son, Bradley; grandson, Steve; and sisters, Sona Kleppe and Sandy.
Dar is survived by wife, Danita; daughter, Darann (Keith) Wenger; son, Scott; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Peterson-Draisey; stepsons, Bradley (Gail) Hensler and Bart Hensler; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 12:30 pm, July 24, 2024, at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel in Minneapolis. Fellowship to follow. There will be a private family burial.
