BURNETT COUNTY – The Burnett County Sheriff’s Office celebrated its finest at an awards ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 6, honoring five outstanding individuals for their dedication and service in 2024.
K-9 Deputy Bailey Mangen, Detective Travis Thiex, Dispatch Sergeant Missi Staege, Office Coordinator Maddie Iwaszko, and Corrections Deputy Surisadai Ruch were named the recipients of the Officer of the Year Award. Each was selected through a peer-voting process, reflecting the high esteem in which they are held by their colleagues.
Sheriff Tracy Finch emphasized the significance of the awards, stating, “We are extremely proud to have them on our team.”
