Bruce Michael Erickson, born Aug. 20, 1953, and Lynn Celeste Erickson (Perry), born Jan. 14, 1955, died on Feb. 15, 2026, in a motorcycle collision. Bruce and Lynn met in high school while both were living in Dallas, Wisconsin, and attending Barron High School. Bruce and Lynn spent their last couple of years of high school falling in love and having way too much fun; which was proving to be a challenge for Lynn’s father, Eldon. However, their love for each other was quickly apparent, and they married shortly before Bruce went to Guam as part of his tour in the Air Force. Lynn and Bruce also lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota, for the rest of his Air Force tour. This is where Lynn received a dietetic degree and began cooking for a local senior home. By 1976 they were expecting their first of three sons, Chad. Post military, they moved around briefly before settling into their forever home in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. They had two more boys, Nick and Clay, and enjoyed many outdoor adventures such as camping, boating, fishing, motor sports, winter sports, and country living.
Bruce went on to get his HVAC degree. He had a very successful career until his retirement seven years ago. Bruce was still the person that was called if family members or friends had issues in this area. Bruce was always generous with his time and talents.
Lynn stayed busy in a variety of roles that kept her cooking or crafting through life. These things were her passion. She felt it her mission to feed the world. She showed her love through her cookies, soup and hotdish. Her compassion was immense. If she had concerns about you, she would deliver food.
Having this couple to call family or friends was a blessing to many. Bruce and Lynn had a lot of fun together and individually. After the kids were grown, they focused on their grandchildren’s events and arranging for special outings or trips to Texas to visit them there. Many of their days were spent watching volleyball. Bruce had a love for riding motorcycles all of his life. This included being a 35-year member of the HD Rider MC club. These men were his family. Lynn loved them and their ladies as well. Lynn was part of a group, the Ya Ya Sisterhood group, which of course included her sisters and a sister-in-law. For years the sisters have had some great adventures, whether in the woods on wheelers or traveling the USA. Sisterhood was always the theme, and Lynn’s popcorn balls and sugar cookies made the time more special.
Yet over the years it just became increasingly evident that the best part of their lives was the time they had with each other.
They were preceded in death by their son, Chad, and grandson, Landon. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 13, at the Balsam Lake American Legion in Pine Park at 11 a.m.
Burial at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner will take place later in 2026.
