ST. CROIX FALLS – Peer’s Bar, owned by Mason Peer and his father, Corey Peer, hosted its first adult Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19, transforming the back patio into a festive scavenger hunt for eager participants. “There’s cash, candy, prize tickets for drink chips, all sorts of stuff,” Mason said, “We try to make it fun.” The event drew regulars and newcomers alike, with prizes ranging from cash to bar merchandise. Guests gathered on the patio, waiting with anticipation after Mason signed up participants who paid a small fee to join the hunt. The 20 available slots filled quickly, with friends like Sharon Koshiol and Makayla Parks, both regulars at the bar, among the lucky hunters. Koshiol found a golden egg stuffed with $40, while Parks got a large egg with a prize of her own. Eggs were cleverly hidden across the yard, in fence notches, under fixtures, and other creative spots. The event kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, sending participants scrambling across the patio.

Before and after the hunt, guests enjoyed food and drinks at the bar, which has been under the Peer family’s ownership for two years. Previously known as Kassel Tap, the establishment was rebranded when Mason and Corey took over from Mason’s aunt and uncle. Peer’s Bar, open seven days a week, is gearing up for a busy summer. Mason shared plans for renovations, including a new sand volleyball court and leagues for volleyball and cornhole games. “We’re getting ready for summer,” he said. “It’s a nice place to hang out.” The adult Easter egg hunt, a fresh addition to the bar’s lineup, may become a tradition. “We try to do different events every year,” Mason shared. Other regular events include live music, Bingo and meat raffles. With a tight-knit staff and a welcoming atmosphere, Peer’s Bar continues to draw crowds, especially on weekends when St. Croix Fall’s population increases with tourism.
