Stanley Joseph Folz, 75, of Centuria, Wisconsin, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was born on Sept. 4, 1947, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, to Leslie and Flora (Strohmeyer) Folz. Stan graduated from St. Croix Falls High School in 1965 and was married to Lillian Skauge on Jan. 27, 1968, in Dresser, Wisconsin. He worked as a machinist at FMC Manufacturing in Fridley, Minnesota, for many years.

He enjoyed going to auctions and garage sales, cooking and hunting, and knew everything about guns. Years ago he was into horse racing, and training and breeding horses. Stan loved being with his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Lil Folz; his children, Joan Folz and Joseph Folz; two grandchildren, Mikaela (Ray) and Dominic (Liz); three great-grandchildren, Miah, Wyatt and Ava; two canine friends, Charlie and Sophie; Gary – the Grouse; a sister, Barb (Del) Drost; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ray and Ken Folz.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Pine Park Legion Hall, 311 Tuttle Street, Balsam Lake, WI 54810. Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
