Robert Joseph Doriott, age 90, passed away on April 24, 2025, in Burlington, Washington.
He was born on May 2, 1934, in Webster, Wisconsin, to Frank and Georgia Connor Doriott. Robert grew up in Webster, where he attended Orange Elementary School and graduated from Webster High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was inducted on Nov. 8, 1954, serving honorably during his deployment to Korea. On March 1, 1957, Bob married Darlean Lind. He and his young family moved to California where they raised their four children.
Robert worked for the State of California’s Department of Employment as an unemployment manager. Upon retirement, he moved to Oregon and spent his time between Oregon and Wisconsin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlean; and sons, Thomas, Steven (Christine) and Gary. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Carol, who passed away on Feb. 17, 2022. Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew (Tina), Christopher (Melody) and Rebekah; and great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Vincent and Lawson.
Robert found joy in fishing, camping, golfing and designing turquoise jewelry. Through his mother, Georgia Connor Doriott, he was a proud member of the St. Croix Chippewa Tribe of Wisconsin, officially enrolled on April 11, 2024.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Siren, Wisconsin. Military Honors will follow the service at the church with a luncheon immediately following the service. Robert will be laid to rest at Orange Cemetery in Webster, Wisconsin, following the luncheon.
