Paul Tweet, 72, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. He was born Sept.  21, 1953 to Arthur and Rosella Tweet in St. Paul, Minnesota, the second of three boys. He graduated from Harding High School and the University of Minnesota, where he met Catherine Sterner. They married June 9, 1979, and started a family in St. Paul. In 1992 they moved to Trade Lake, Wisconsin. Paul worked for the State of Minnesota for 28 years in various forms, until retiring from the Department of Corrections in 2018. They bought a house in New Brighton, Minnesota, in 2018.

Some of his favorite hobbies were orchid growing, bird watching and gardening. He served his community through singing at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Frederic, Wisconsin, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, the Diocese of Superior Chorale, Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Roseville, Minnesota, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton.

Paul was a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He left us very suddenly and we will all miss him so much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rosella Tweet. He is survived by Cathy, his wife of 46 years; children, Jennifer, John and Joseph (April); daughter-in-law, Marysia; grandchildren, Rosemary, Christopher, Owen, Zachary, Ethan, Rebecca and Gianna; brothers, Steven (Naomi) and Douglas (Margaret); mother-in-law, Patricia Sterner; nieces and nephews, grand-niece and -nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday Oct. 21, with the visitation at 10 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton, Minnesota. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery also in New Brighton. Lunch will be at the church after the service and burial.
