Marlyce F. McKinney, 79, a resident of Frederic, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Frederic Care Center.
Marlyce was born on March 4, 1946, in Amery, Wisconsin, to Wallace and Ruby Clouse. She attended Apple River School, Balsam Lake School and graduated in 1964 from Unity High School. She married the love of her life, Stephen McKinney, in November of 1964. To this union three sons were born. Stephen and Marlyce lived in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, until they moved to Fredric in 1968.
Marlyce enjoyed playing cards, going to the lake, reading, and visiting with family and friends. She was involved in HCE, Pilgrim Lutheran Church and involved in her children’s and great-grandchildren’s lives. She also volunteered at the Frederic and Luck Schools for a number of years.
Marlyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stephen; her son, Stephen Jr.; grandson, Brandon; and many other family members.
She leaves to celebrate her memory her sons, Donald McKinney, Balsam Lake, and Brian (Melanie) McKinney of Menomonie, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Albie (Mandi) and Travis; great-grandchildren, Roman, McKenna, Riley, Brielle, Steven, Alex, Lloyd, Brandon Jr., Enslee and Rylenn; also, special friends, Autumn, Chrissa, Bella, Lyssa and Makayla; and many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, at noon, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 507 Wisconsin Ave., Frederic, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. Pastor Emily K. Stelling will celebrate the service. Please join the family for lunch in the church fellowship hall following the service.
