Joyce A. Peterson, age 94, passed away on Feb. 25, 2025, in Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Joyce was born on Aug. 23, 1930, in Minneapolis to Ernest and Alvina Soderberg. She married Paul Gramer in Minneapolis. The couple had two children: Glenn and Gary Gramer. She worked as an office secretary at the Burnett County Housing Authority in Webster, Wisconsin. Joyce was active in the Homemaker’s Club, historical society, and Forts Folle Avoine. She had many wonderful friends and neighbors and looked forward to the weekly widows’ luncheon at Dairy Queen. Joyce remained active in the First Baptist Church in Webster and was blessed by the friendship and love of many. She was a firm believer that Northwestern Wisconsin had three seasons––fishing, hunting and football.

Joyce is survived by her sons, Glenn (Teressa) Gramer, of Danbury, Wisconsin, and Gary (Wendy) Gramer of Danbury; granddaughter, Cassandra; grandsons, Nick (Courtney) and Dustin; and great-grandsons, Jordan, Logan, Ryan and Nathan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alvina Soderberg; her first husband, Paul Gramer; and second husband, Maurice Peterson.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, at First Baptist Church, 7422 W. Kola St, Webster, Wisconsin, 54893, from 10 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11 a.m.  Private interment at Danbury Cemetery, Danbury, Wisconsin.
