James (Jim) Arthur Spafford passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 71. He was born on October 16, 1953 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Miles and Edythe Spafford of Webster, Wisconsin. He was raised in rural Webster and attended the Webster schools.

Jim served in the U. S. Army.  He worked in maintenance departments at several health care facilities in and around the Twin Cities area.

Jim married Dawn Marie Weijk on June 13, 1981, settling in Somerset, Wisconsin and they were blessed with two children, Shannon (Jay) Feinman, and Christopher (Jen) Spafford. Jim really enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips over the years with various friends and relatives.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Miles and Edythe; nephew, Roderick Spafford; brother, Vernon Lokker; and brother-in-law, Tom Weijk.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; his children; three grandchildren, Mabel and Norah Feinman and Blakli Spafford; brothers, Sonny (Connie) Spafford and Dale (Patsy) Lokker; sister-in-law, Betty (Vernon) Lokker; and several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17, at Sonny and Connie Spafford’s residence, 27329 Spafford Road, Webster, Wisconsin at noon. Join us as we come together and honor Jim’s life. Food and refreshments will be served. We have all felt sadness and grief for Jim’s passing, but now it’s time for us to celebrate his remarkable life.
