Danny “Dan” Thomas Meyers, age 68, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, March 22, 2025 at his home in St. Croix Falls.

Dan was born May 11, 1956 to parents Daniel and Frances (Bowden) Meyers in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1974 from Bruce, Wisconsin High School and enlisted in the military the same year. He served two years in the Navy.

He married Jacqueline in 1976 and together they had three children, Aaron (Carina) Meyers, and twins Anthony Meyers, and Heather (Seth) Wait. He later married Sue Leggitt in 1998 and the two together raised Jason (Shelly) Hall, Jeremy (Rachel) Hall, and Jessica (Van) Mathson.

Dan’s life was fulfilled by the love of his family and friends. He enjoyed sports of all types. He was involved in recreational leagues of fast pitch, slow pitch, basketball, professional body building, golf and motor sports, including boating, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. He took pride in watching his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting and school events and enjoyed coaching them with whatever sports they were involved in. Dan loved hanging out with family and friends, entertaining with popcorn and movie nights, celebrating holidays with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona.

Dan is survived by his mother, Frances; wife of 27 years, Sue; six children; grandchildren, Austin, Carson, and Olivia Meyers, Brock (Taljit) and Calen (Olivia) Wimer, Kolton, Aesa, and Rawlin Wait, Bryden and Brynlee Hall, Caroline, Annabelle, and Wyatt Hall, and Nolan, Connor, and Claire Mathson; sister Dana Bundgaard; brother Dirk (Michelle) Meyers; niece Justine Bundgard; nephews Terry Meyers, and Matthew, Shawn and David Leggitt; other extended family, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Meyers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, at Eureka Baptist Church in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Centuria, Wisconsin. Evening visitation will take place the night before on Friday, April 4, at Grandstrand Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
