Janet Phyllis Schell, age 78, a resident of Hertel, Wisconsin, passed away on Dec. 30, 2024 at Cumberland Healthcare. Janet was born on Aug. 6, 1946 in Stillwater, Minnesota, to parents Roy and Fayra Papenfuss. After graduating from Stillwater High School, she worked as a Trouble Locator for NSP, now Excel Energy Company. In 1985 she became the owner and operator of the Misty Pines Bar. On Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, Grace Marie Imme left this world at the age of 93 surrounded by the love of family members. Grace was born on July 10, 1931 to John & Elsie Anderson in the town of Lorain, Wisconsin. She was the fifth of six children. Grace graduated eighth grade from the Indian Creek School on May 31, 1945.   Sheila Ann Staples, born on April 30, 1947, at Siren Hospital, Siren, Wisconsin, to Wally and Helen Staples, peacefully passed away on Jan. 2, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Lewis, Wisconsin, and a beloved member of her community. Jo Alan DeGeer, born July 10, 1943, passed away on Dec. 19, 2024, at his home in Frederic, Wisconsin, in the loving care of his wife and stepdaughter. Jo’s heroic journey with prostate cancer included many wonderful caregivers throughout the years. He was born in Indiana, spent his early years in the hills of Kentucky, but moved back to St. Paul, Minnesota (his family’s hometown) for most of his life. Dave was born Feb. 20, 1967, to Lawrence and Darlene (Moulton) Pederson. Dave spent his childhood in Frederic, where his father Lawrence was the veterinarian. Irma Juneal Wood, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024. Irma was born to Clarence and Agnes Johnson on June 19, 1925, near Luck, Wisconsin. She graduated from Milltown High School and met Robert while working as a waitress at a restaurant in Milltown, Wisconsin. Irma and Robert married on March 2, 1947 and farmed on her father’s farm until they purchased their own south of Falun, Wisconsin. Irma worked right alongside Robert for many years.
