He was born in Grantsburg, Wisconsin on May 16, 1941, to Richard (Dick) and Opal Hunter. He grew up in the Grantsburg area, attended Grantsburg schools and graduated in 1959.   Crystal Lee (Donahue) Marschel was born in Maplewood Minnesota, June 26, 1993, to Heather and Scott Donahue. She was torn from this life tragically on July 18, 2025. Crystal spent most of her youth growing up in Milltown, Wisconsin.
