Ruby Delores Lindquist, age 91, a resident of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away on Jan. 30, 2025 at Burnett Medical Center with her loved ones by her side. Ruby was born on Feb. 6, 1933, to Thorvald and Myrtle Sorensen in Luck, Wisconsin. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, north of Luck. Rose Adeline Nelson, age 98, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. Rose was born April 1, 1926, to parents, Clarence and Hulda (Dahlberg) Lund, and lived in Siren, Wisconsin, until her marriage to Wallace (Wally) Nelson on July 20, 1946. They lived in Oregon, Kentucky, South Dakota, and Minnesota, retiring back at home in Siren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Debra (Deb) Kostelnik
Debra (Deb) Kostelnik (born Rockwell, previously Fritz) passed away Jan. 1, 2025. She was 61 years old. Debra died of natural causes. She will be greatly missed. Debra Kostelnik was survived by her husband, Jeffery Kostelnik; and her two sons, Dustin Rockwell and Jeramie Dutcher. Debra was also survived by her step-daughter, Melanie Kostelnik; two grandsons, Brett and Roger Kostelnik; sister, Donna (Steve) Guimont; and three nieces. Debra Kostelnik's Celebration of Life will be held in Cushing, Wisconsin, at Suzy Q's Snowshoe Tavern on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Curt William Eliason
Curt William Eliason, the only one left of the 13 children of Ole Eliason and Augustine Blix, was born Sept. 6, 1928 and died Jan. 21, 2025. He was 96 years old. On Aug. 30, 1958 he married Elaine Van Pelt. They had four children: daughters, Kathy (Fred) Johnson and Sharon (Dave) D'Jock; and sons, Kevin (Kristina) and Shawn (Mika). Vivian (Vi) Vera Braby, age 85 of Amery, Wisconsin passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025. Vivian was born on Sept. 26, 1939 in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, to Winnie and Donald Blaisdell. Vivian was the third born of eight children. She graduated from school in St Paul Park, Minnesota. She was married twice, and from these marriages four children were born. She worked various jobs throughout her life to support her family. She was born on Feb. 10, 1931, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the third of eight children born to Leonard and Opal (Johnson) Ryan. Lily P. Orvold, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, surrounded by family in Chetek, Wisconsin. Lily was born in Carigara, Leyte, Philippines on June 7, 1932, to Dioncie and Benita de (Guzman) Pascual. She attended school in the Philippines and went to nursing school for one year. She met her future husband, Richard, while working in the Navy Exchange at Sangley Point. He was stationed there serving in the Navy.
