Lloyd Lester Larson, 84, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born Feb. 13, 1941 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, to Lester and Myrtle (Ramsdell) Larson. The family moved to Superior, Wisconsin, where Lloyd graduated from Central High School, class of 1959. He went on to earn a machinist certification from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Institute. He practiced his craft at Grayco in Minneapolis, Minnesota, then went to FMC in Fridley, Minnesota, as a manufacturing engineer. Joyce “Snookie” LaVonne Schrock, age 90, of Dresser, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 at Eagle Ridge Senior Living in Osceola, Wisconsin. Joyce was born on Oct. 9, 1935 to Guy and Iona (Leaf) Longnecker in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. On April 8, 1955 she was united in marriage to Roger Schrock. He is survived by three sisters, Kathleen Scheuneman (Gary), Suzanne Starcevich and Diane French; son, Robert French (Molly); granddaughter, Melissa Shoquist; nephews, Cory French (Ruth) and Aaron French (Renea); nieces, Lisa Johnson (Keith) and Lori Scheuneman; and many great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving sisters, Norma Thompson, Kathy (Willie) Loberg and Carolyn (Randy) Olson. Buck leaves to celebrate his memory, Connie (Roger) Johnson, his loving wife; Jan Thompson, with whom he shared 58 loving years of marriage; his daughter, Leah (Craig) Salmon; grandsons, Travis Salmon and Jason Salmon; and sister, Deb Thompson.
