Carol D. Nelson, 86, of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Christian Community Home in Osceola, Wisconsin. Carol Matz was born on Dec. 31, 1936, in Frederic, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Irene Matz.
Carol leaves to celebrate her memory her husband, Kenneth Nelson of St. Croix Falls; children, Scott (Laurie) Larsen, Shelly Maxwell and Steven (Deb) Nelson; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Hagert, Richard, Faye (Robert) Tietz and Michael (Mary); and by many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Peggy Thompson and Gary Matz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. That information will be posted when available.
The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
