Jerry Guy Willits, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025. Jerry was born to Guy and Ruth Willits in Albert Lea, Minnesota, on October 1, 1933, in their home. Jerry (Snook) graduated in 1952 from Albert Lea High School. He treasured lifetime friendships with many of his classmates. He also attended college in Marshalltown, Iowa, and took several courses at the University of Minnesota. He served two years in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Born on October 27, 1943, to Galen and Dorothy Maurer, Bill was one of eight children—a blessing that made for many lively family celebrations and close-knit gatherings. He grew up in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, where he enjoyed swimming and exploring the outdoors. Born on October 28, 1930, in Pine County, Minnesota, George grew up on a dairy farm, learning hard work and resilience alongside his five siblings. Known for his athleticism, he excelled at Rush City High School, becoming a local legend in baseball and earning state championships with Braham in 1957 and Cushing in 1963.
