William Ernest Maurer, lovingly known as Bill, was called to heaven in the early hours of May 21, 2025. Born on October 27, 1943, to Galen and Dorothy Maurer, Bill was one of eight children—a blessing that made for many lively family celebrations and close-knit gatherings. He grew up in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, where he enjoyed swimming and exploring the outdoors.
