Dwight Swanson was born September 28, 1942, in Polk County, Wisconsin, to Carl and Bernice Swanson. He grew up with five brothers on the family farm.

On August 2, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Donna Berg. Together, they purchased Donna’s family farm. They enjoyed traveling and snowmobiling locally and riding the trails at Yellowstone National Park.

Dwight loved restoring old tractors. After retirement from the farm, Dwight worked for the fertilizer plant in Milltown, Wisconsin.

Dwight is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna Swanson; daughter, Karen and her husband, Brad Emerson; granddaughters, Tanya (Jason) Stokes, and Heather; four great-grandchildren, Rylee and Alysha, and Marcus and Elizabeth; five brothers, Charlie, Gerald, Russel, Lloyd, and Curtis; and many nieces and nephews.

Dwight passed away on May 25, 2025, at the United Pioneer Home with his wife by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held privately at a later date.
