Mary Jane LaMere, age 81, a longtime resident of Osceola, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by family Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Mary was born August 3, 1943 to parents George and Evelyn (Geissler) Goulet in Tilden, Wisconsin. She attended high school in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, and graduated with the class of 1961. Shortly after high school, she enrolled in beauty school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and enjoyed working as a hair stylist throughout her whole working career. She married Gerard LaMere in Turtle Lake on June 27, 1964.

Mary was a jovial spirit, and loved being the life of the party. She was active at Assumption Catholic Church, singing in the church choir for many years. She enjoyed crafts, plants, gardening, going on cruises and traveling with her husband, being a part of TOPS club, going to the casino, and being with her family and friends who will all miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerard LaMere; children, Cindy (Gary) Seelen, Ken (Michele), and Steve (Dara); grandchildren, Alyssa, Miller, Avery, and Joshua LaMere; sisters, Eileen Boos, Gladys Pabst, and Lorene (Pete) Lee; brothers-in-law, Gene (Dawn) LaMere, and Harland Becker; sisters-in-law, Jane LaMere, and Margie Goulet; many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Dolores (Chester) LaMere and Donna Becker; brother, Gilmore Goulet; parents-in-law, Lynus and Rita LaMere; siblings-in-law, Carole LaMere, John LaMere, Wilbur Boos, and Raymond Pabst.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, at Assumption Catholic Church in East Farmington, Wisconsin. Visitation one hour prior. Evening visitation will be the night before mass on Thursday, April 24, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola.
