Robert W. Erickson, 75, of Cumberland, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on Jan. 20, 2025.

Bob was well loved by all that knew him, and he returned the favor with everything he had. He could be considered a jack-of-all-trades, but a master of none. After a stint in the Air Force during the Vietnam War where he was an aircraft mechanic, he held many jobs. From being a farm hand, a bartender, a cook, a newspaper publisher, to his final career of driving truck, he enjoyed life to the fullest.
When not diving into his work, he enjoyed spending time with his kids and being the best Papa a bunch of grandkids could ever ask for. He was a great cook, even though he spent much of the final years of his life living alone. He was always ready to lend a hand in the kitchen, and whenever he cooked it would be as if he was cooking for an army.
Bob was never one to be late for anything. In fact, he was usually early. If you said the event started at noon, he would be there by at least 11, if not sooner.
Bob will be dearly missed by his children, LeeAnne (Jim) Callham, Todd (Mary) O’Flanagan, Rob (Julie) Erickson, Brittnie Erickson and Andrea (Adam) Von Bargen; grandchildren, Allie, Tyler, Jacob, Bryanna, Tyler, Macie, Cadence, Ayden, Dakota, Grace, Owen, Harper and Layla; great-grandchildren, Finn and Bella; and his siblings, Ron (Sharon) Erickson, Connie Talmadge and Russ (Terri) Erickson.
Welcoming him into new life are his parents, Carl and Delores Erickson; brothers, Rod and Ray Erickson; and sisters, Carla Denzine and Colleen Rud.
A Memorial Service was held Saturday, Jan. 25, at The First Lutheran Church of Arland.
Interment and military honors will be held at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery later this spring.
Skinner Funeral Home of Cumberland is serving the family.
