ST. CROIX FALLS – On Wednesday, Feb. 26, St. Croix Falls High School hosted a Reality Fair for students from St. Croix Falls and Osceola High Schools.

A special thank you to Aaron Mork at FNC Bank for helping organize the volunteers who mentored students on the realities of life. The volunteers were community professionals and school staff.

Each student was given a random pamphlet with a career and salary. They visited each table, where they had to make real-life decisions about how much they would spend on groceries, insurance, vehicles, entertainment, housing, pets, and more.

The mentors at the table gave them a fast-track education on the importance of their products and services and the cost associated with each product or service.

Organizers hope this opportunity provides more insight into the decisions they will need to make after graduating from high school and college.

Opportunities like this are another way that we are preparing our students to be successful in the future.
